TRADES IN AMERICA
Yesterday, I saw a partial speech by President Obama discussing how young people should go into the Trades rather than getting an Art History Degree. A more reasonable way of making a decent living. I have always agreed with this theory...up until now. Recently, I have had two botched oil changes that nearly did severe damage to my car. And I am currently in the middle of a nightmare while trying to get a $30 piece of mirror cut. At three jobs should have been accomplished quite easily and competently. While all three operations require a certain amount of skill, they are not high dollar, high skill operations. All three businesses have given me the run-around and made no apologies for their lack of professionalism. God help America if this is what we are reduced to.

A Very Rare Book
A Client sent me a wonderful article/story from the December 16, 2013 issue of The New Yorker. Titled, A Very Rare Book by Nicholas Schmidle. It is an odyssey of a famous rare book forger(er). If you can get your hands on it you'll be as fascinated as I was, guaranteed.
